CO2 to Fuel GTL Technologies
Global Energy and Ocean Ethanol are now developing the leading edge in CO2 reduction technology, to convert CO2 gas into liquid fuel. Our technology is leading the world to produce ethanol, methanol and butanol from renewable resources.
www.oceanethanol.com
www.globalmicroturbine.com
www.modularblock.com
www.discturbine.com

The discturbine is a insert for the Modular Block platform. The multifunction disc set can be used for pumping, turbine, mixing, and fluid cavitation.

Applications:

Mixing - for production of biodiesel
Pumping - for a multistage microreactor
Fluid Cavitation - to produce hot water and steam

Since the discs can be stacked in any order on a shaft, you can have multiple series of stages - for example for a mini-biodiesel production unit you could have a pump on the front end, followed by a mixing operation, followed by cavitation to remove water.

Water Cycle Machine: when place in stages, the disc turbine can be used as a water cycle machine that can produce hot water, steam, purified water, and even ice depending on the configuration.

Discs are easily manufactured by a laser cutter.

The manifold (modular block) can be used for various fluid inputs and outputs. It can even be sequenced into a vortex tube to separate gases or liquids.

There are two technologies we are developing:

(1) Syngas to Butanol

(2) Electrochemical Reduction of CO2 to Butanol

The Modular Block is already ready for commercialization and production.

Butanol can be used in most gasoline engines without modification. It has also been identified as a possible jet fuel to use in turbines.

Sir Richard Branson believes in butanol so much, that he is dedicated huge resources to the implementation of biomass to butanol production - for the possible future use to fuel his fleet of Virgin airliners.

The miniplant concept is to produce about 1 liter per hour of liquid butanol from CO2, water and electricity. Because of it’s compact size, butanol could be produced on wind farms, submarines, ships, natural gas processing plants, ethanol plants, or anywhere an available supply of CO2 and electricity. By numbering up the Modular Block system, we can have any level of production, according to available feed-stocks.
